How we meet

Sessions are available in the following formats:

  • In person (Shinfield, Reading, Berkshire)

  • Online (video)

  • By phone

If you have access needs or practical questions, you are very welcome to ask.

Language

Psychotherapy and clinical supervision can be offered in English or Italian.

If working in Italian would feel more natural or supportive, you are very welcome to raise this in the initial consultation.

Session times and frequency

Rates vary according to the time of day.

Standard hours: 9:00 am–5:00 pm (UK local time), Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays

Early / late: before 9:00 am or after 5:00 pm (UK local time), with weekends and bank holidays by arrangement

Individual psychotherapy usually takes place weekly in 50-minute sessions.

Couple psychotherapy usually takes place weekly in 50-minute sessions. Where clinically helpful, longer sessions may sometimes be arranged by discussion.

Sessions arranged less frequently are charged at the early / late rate, as they require greater flexibility in scheduling.

Session fees (self-funded clients)

The fees below apply to self-funded work for individual psychotherapy, couple therapy, and ILF neurofeedback.

Session type Duration Standard Early / late
Individual 50 mins £108 £120
Couple 50 mins £108 £120
ILF neurofeedback 50 mins £108 £120

Where clinically helpful, longer individual or couple sessions are sometimes arranged by discussion.

Group therapy fees are available on request, depending on the nature and availability of the group.

Specific arrangements

ILF neurofeedback

ILF neurofeedback is available in person only and is usually offered within an ongoing psychotherapeutic process or, where clinically appropriate, alongside work with another relevant clinician.

Couple work

“Couple” means any relationship between two people.

Session frequency and format are discussed according to what offers enough space, continuity, and support for the work.

Insurance, referrals, and funded work

I work with clients funded by some health insurers. Where possible, I prefer clients to pay me directly and reclaim from their insurer afterwards.

If an insurer or third-party funder does not cover the full fee, the client remains responsible for any shortfall.

I welcome self-referrals and professional referrals, including from GPs, psychiatrists, health insurers, case management organisations, counsellors and psychotherapists, therapeutic communities, and corporate or organisational sources.

Clinical supervision fees

Individual supervision (50 mins)
Charged at the same rate as a standard 50-minute individual psychotherapy session.

Group supervision (2–4 supervisees, 100 mins)
Each supervisee is charged the same fee as an individual 50-minute supervision session.

Supervision can be arranged according to what best fits the practitioner’s or group’s needs.

Organisational consultancy and specialist input

Fees for organisations engaging me as a consultant psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, or trauma specialist are available on request.

Please get in touch if you would like to discuss the work or request a fee proposal.

A brief professional profile is available for organisations, clinics, and consultant-led services considering referral, supervision, or consultancy.

Cancellations and missed sessions

I ask that sessions are attended at the agreed frequency wherever possible. If you need to cancel, please give as much notice as you can. Cancellations with less than one working day’s notice, and missed sessions, are usually charged in full.

Full details of my cancellation policy, working arrangements, and other practical terms are set out in the Administrative Agreement, which I share before we begin.

My therapy room in Shinfield (Reading, Berkshire)

There is usually free parking near the building.

Please note: there is currently no wheelchair access and no accessible toilet.

If you have practical questions

You do not need to decide everything in advance.

The initial consultation is a chance to ask questions, understand how the work might look, and decide whether it feels manageable.

If you have questions about fees, format, or timing, the FAQ may help ›

Or you are welcome to book a free 20-minute consultation to talk it through.

There is no pressure to continue beyond the consultation.
