Overview
I have experience of working with clients presenting a variety of symptoms e.g. anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma/PTSD/complex PTSD, attachment-related issues, ADHD, ASD, OCD, etc. - see Help is at hand for an extended list and also Special Professional Interests.
The core trainings I completed include Relational Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (MSc, Diploma and Certified Transactional Analyst in Psychotherapy-CTA-P), Advanced Trauma Treatment (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 1), Developmental and Relational Trauma Treatment (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 2), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR, all levels, with Frank Corrigan, the founder of DBR), and EMDR training (Parts 1–3). I also trained in Neurofeedback, hold a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, am a Master NLP Practitioner, and hold a Diploma in Supervision. I am currently enrolled in a Clinical Psychology degree.
In my Mindfulness and Body-informed practice, I integrate psychotherapeutic elements of several modalities including Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (Humanistic), Relational Psychoanalysis, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting, Neurofeedback and Cognitive Behavioural approaches.
My practice is also guided by the Relational Transactional Analysis Principles and by the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Guiding Principles which can be found on the “Guiding principles of my practice” page. My practice is also informed by contemporary neuroscience—particularly research on trauma, attachment, and nervous-system regulation.

Notes about the modalities I practice
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)
DBR is a neuroscientifically guided psychotherapy for trauma disorders like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). DBR aims to access and process traumatic experience by tracking the original sequence of physiological responses that occurred when the deep brain had been alerted to a threat or an attachment disruption. Deep Brain Reorienting theory links Trauma, Brainstem, and Attachment. The theoretical basis of DBR centers on brainstem responses to trauma, particularly the superior colliculus (the "Where-Self" system) and the periaqueductal gray (involved in affect and defense responses), arguing that early life trauma and shock disrupt these primal orienting systems. DBR processing involves identifying and anchoring in orienting tension to mitigate emotional overwhelm, working through the sequence of orienting, tension, shock, and affect to achieve healing without relying solely on upper-level brain functions or narrative. DBR is an emerging trauma psychotherapy with a growing evidence base; research is ongoing - a jargon free description of DBR and its effectiveness can be found here.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP)
SP is a therapeutic modality for trauma and attachment issues. SP, an inclusive form of body/somatic psychotherapy, welcomes the body as an integral source of information which can guide resourcing and the accessing and processing of challenging, traumatic, and developmental experience. SP is a holistic approach that includes somatic, emotional, and cognitive processing and integration.
Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback, or EEG biofeedback, is a non-invasive therapy that measures brainwave activity with sensors on the scalp to provide real-time feedback to the user. The feedback, which can be auditory and/or visual and/or kinesthetic, reinforces desired brain states by rewarding the brain when it produces a healthier pattern. Through this process, individuals can learn to self-regulate their brain activity to potentially improve conditions like anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, and other conditions. I integrate neurofeedback and psychotherapy in the therapeutic plan where clinically appropriate. A recent research about the effectiveness of neurofeedback can be found here.
Relational Transactional Analysis
The modalities above, combined with my wider range of therapeutic modalities I trained on - including Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (Humanistic, my initial main qualification), Relational Psychoanalysis, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, EMDR and Cognitive Behavioural approaches - offer an ample and comprehensive range of ways of working therapeutically. You can read more about trauma here.
